WHo Am I???

What's your first impression of me the first time you saw me??? Proud? Weird? Shy? I sometimes doubt that I have any interesting personality in me. I probably don't. Personality is what makes a person so different from another. I have personality do I? I am after all weird, clumsy, laughing like a idiot kinda way girl, funny at times and utterly lazy girl. That's a personlity. So how is your perception of me? Do you think I am boring? Because I know I am. Just look at this blog and compare it with others. Some people have very interesting blogs. Mine is just lengthy and plain boring. I have to say I have a boring life. I guess sometimes I feel like a hypocrite too because I tell people not to do this and I did it myself. Over-crictical? Attention-seeker, more like I seek comfort from people, to at least still feel not isolated. Thinking back, I lead a pretty simple life and isn't that what I ask for? So why am I complaining now? See how hypocrite I am...so who am I? Am I just a girl with high hopes for the future only to be lead down by her own weights of life but still strive to at least be a someone? I just might be one......

CNY UniMAP style...

YooHoo....finally the UniMAP CNY celebration is over....I'm so glad partly because I slaved myself over the souvenirs and I guess I felt no one really appreciate what I did. Maybe they don't but I don't care. I did my job the best I can and if you ain't liking it then don't bother.

The souvenirs in my opinion were nice. My team and I, we put in our efforts to do it and it seems not even anyone remembered to say thanks for doing the souvenirs. In fact, I feel that some people think that souvenirs are easy stuff. Excuse me, do you know how long it takes to make one of the sovenirs or how much effort we put in? Don't think just because your biro has stuff to do on the actual day and I don't, means you can bully me. I did my part so now is your turn. (Pardon the blast of anger...)
(Deco at entrance) (Lion dance)
CNY....was not bad...the decorations was okay....quite nice. I especially like the deco at the entrance. The performances were okay. Nothing special except for the lion dance and the sketch. I like the sketch...it's really very funny. The dances were okay. Not exactly special but it was fun cheering them on. The song singing was pretty good albeit a slight off-key by one of the performers. Overall, I would give this event a B+ for effort and job done. There were quite a few mishaps and incident which I felt could have been avoided if it was planned much properly or those in charge of certain parts handled it better. Anyway, it was enjoyable and that is what matters. So, phew...it's over finally....

16 random facts about me, myself and I....

Here it is Jolyn....finally I manage to have some free time to do this....

  1. I love, adore, enjoy reading romance and fictional novels. I enjoy curling up with a novel in my bed reading. I can read non-stop if I want to and I once read 3 books in a day. Call me crazy but I just like reading novels…it’s an addiction I don’t even want to cure because it’s fun…
  2. I once hit a car while reversing when was in Lower 6. The numbers on the number plate of the car crack slightly and it wasn’t much. I waited for the owner for 10 minutes but he/she never appear. So I just left…pretty bad of me isn’t it??
  3. I like singing even if my voice sucks or I can’t sing the bloody song well. I just like singing. I sing when I’m in the shower, I sing in the car when I’m alone and I sing when I am happy, sad, moody, bored, excited and all…
  4. I used to have a crush on someone for years (I think I might still have…I’m not sure…haha) and the worst thing is I never confessed to him…pathetic right? Those who know me well, you guys know who I’m talking about I’m sure…
  5. Play a nice song and I will like it no matter what language it is in. I basically listen to everything. Don’t ask me to choose a category of music because I like all different genre of music. I listen to Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Malay, Indonesian, Thai, and etc….
  6. My first car accident is pretty humiliating. I drove to the Esso petrol station at Greenlane and I kind of grazed the petrol pump. Nothing happen to the petrol station (Luckily no explosion…haha) but my baby car got a huge scar on it’s bonnet and it still is a huge scar now. I freaked out but luckily my dad didn’t scold me...
  7. This Valentine's Day, my friend got a bouquet of handmade roses from her boyfriend. I’m kind of happy for her at the same time envious of her gift. I wish I have someone who can give me one too. The most important thing in Valentine’s gift is sincerity and wow was her present a sign of sincerity.
  8. I’m sarcastic at times. Partly influence from Mei Ling I guess but sarcasm is in my nature. I’m very sarcastic lately and critical….I always critic on stuff but sometimes I will only critic something in my head because people might get offended by my attitude….of course in front of my best friends I just say it out because they will never be angry with me…you guys won't right..^.^
  9. This is almost like No1. I love watching romance movies. I guess I crave to see Happily Ever After since I doubt there’s much of it in reality. Pride and Prejudice is one of my favourite. Romantic but meaningful. Romance movies make me sigh over how wonderful it all is even though I know there's no much of it in reality...One can only dream...
  10. (This is in response to Jo’s random fact no1.)No one ask me to be their girlfriend...hahaha. Why? I have high expectation yes but one can dream right? I just want sincerity, love, care, trust and understanding. Is it too much to ask for? Must be so….People send in your application if you qualify with the conditions above…..
  11. My long term goal now is to finish university with good grades and work in a good payroll company. I just want a simple life where there’s time to travel when I want to and time to spend with my family and friends. I’m not looking for a high-living life just a ordinary simple and nice life.
  12. I really like Wonder Girls’ Nobody. Addictive song. It makes you want to dance along. I even learn a few moves. Recently I fell in love with Korean and Japanese songs. They are getting higher positions in my favourite songs list. Must be influence from Jo, Ting and Loo Wen. I like them more now than some English and Chinese songs. So, Go TVXQ!! Go Kat-tun!!
  13. If I have 1 million dollars, I will think it isn’t enough in this current era. Cost of living is high these days. So if I ever win a lottery or something let it be like 3 or 4 millions then I guess that should be enough. (Greedy huh?? Haha)
  14. . I eat my fries with ketchup and black pepper. I like it with a lot of black pepper in the ketchup. It’s really yummy that way and you should try it too. Some people think it's weird but I like it that way. Recommended definitely....
  15. Some people say they think I’m arrogant and proud when they 1st saw me. Must be my serious face when I don’t know anyone. The truth is I’m friendly if you talk to me but I am quiet because I don’t know how to make friends. I’m a little shy when it comes to making new friends and it’s not a shock I have very few friends. I don’t think I am arrogant but if that’s what you think then it is fine with me.
  16. I’m a big cheesecake fan. Secret recipe makes great cheesecake. If I am rich I will eat cheesecake at least once everyday. Imagine: Monday-Blueberry cheesecake, Tuesday-Raspberry cheesecake, Wednesday-Oreo cheesecake, Thursday-Chocolate cheesecake, Friday- Cappachino cheesecake, Saturday-Expresso cheesecake, Sunday-Lemon cheesecake....Ohhhh what a great idea...too bad I am not rich….

So, that's it folks....16 very random facts about me...

It was fun...hahaha

Aerobics with the Raja Muda of Perlis

It's been a week since I left Penang. Somehow it feel like months has passed by. I miss Penang...T.T.....But I'll get over it since I'm coming back next week after all haha....

Yesterday I went to a aerobics cum poco-poco session with our chancellor and vice-chancellor. What is poco-poco you ask? It's a dance-like exercise. It's kinda fun once you get it actually. The event was supposedly to be complusory but guess what? I think more than half of the university didn't go to the event. It was said to be complusory to all UniMAP students but well I think less than 700 of us were there. So what's the point of making it complusory? Nobody even bothered. I think besides me and my friend all the Chinese students in our class didn't attend. As a matter of fact, practically more than 4/5 resident student in Wang Ulu didnt' attend the event. Shy do I have to follow them? So I went....I went there and I did have fun albeit I have to wake up early that morning at 5.35 and spend my whole morning in the Perlis stadium. I didn't even pespire much so I don't think I workout much. I spend 1 hour or more exercise and I didn't work up much sweat...Imagine that. No wonder I'm getting fat. (More likely because I sleep a lot..) I went there to see the Chancellor and his wife actually. Hahaha...After all they are royalty and it's not like you can see royalty everyday. His wife looks really modern with sunglasses and all. I even took a photo with her and shook her hand. Not bad huh...haha. I didn't went to shake the Raja Muda's hand though...line too long....hehe.

We have to bring our matric card along as usual to confirm our attendance. Fortunately due to less people attending the event I don't have to squeeze a lot in line...I saw some people bringing their friends' matric cards. I'm not saying I am against it but don't you think it's really unfair to those who went to the event and to yourself that you help them sign in their cards? They didn't attend it so don't bother. I feel that if you don't want to come then it's fine but you still ask your friend that is attending to sign in your card for you. It's pretty inappropriate to me. Do you know how much troble they went through to get your card signed in? You don't do you???

Okay maybe he's doing you a favour and you're probably treating him or something but still I wouldn't do that much to my friends. Maybe once or twice is fine but if this continues I think maybe even your friends will get fed-up with you too. So the best for me is either you don't bother going and not pass your matrics card to be signed-in or just go to the event. No harm done going unless you have urgent stuff that needs to be done. They even provide food you know. I got extra home too...so I save up on $$ for lunch and dinner. Hahaha...I know I'm cheap but hey I'm saving my money for better uses like bus tickets home and maybe some new shoes...hahahaha. Maybe I'm a goody-two shoes for following rules and attending the event but I like it. I follow rules when I like too. Sometimes I bend the rules but you don't have to know that....Unusual I know but this is me....

(Lately I get annoyed by the smallest thing even when it has nothing to do with me...Geez...I'm weird)
